Business Analyst

Fairtax Grants & Incentives, as part of the ABGi group of companies, serve 2,500+ clients with 200+ employees globally.  In Canada, Fairtax has visibility into over 4000 government grant and incentive programs that represent over $14B of available funds.  Through a strategic client centric approach Fairtax assists Canadian companies to identify, qualify and secure the maximum amount of funds available to them.   As a result of the rapid expansion of the Canadian practice, Fairtax is looking for qualified people to support their growth strategy.

The Fairtax Grants & Incentives team is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join us at our Oakville Office.  This is an entry level role with a focus on learning and development to achieve rapid career growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and understand a variety of Government funding programs
  • Grant application writing support for our team of Funding Specialists
  • Project tracking and compliance reporting support
  • Electronic information management for technical teams nationally
  • Facilitate program knowledge sharing among teams
  • Document formatting and presentation enhancements to convey ideas concisely

Required Skills and Abilities

Fairtax is a merit based and success driven organization.  The Business Analyst will have an entrepreneurial attitude, be self-motivated, ambitious, confident, and able to work independently.  Successful candidates will possess strong skills in research, reading, writing, self-learning, and will be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Through a combination of Education and prior work, the ideal candidate will demonstrate experience with leading large projects, managing projects to deadlines, and Customer Relationship Management software.

Proficiency in French, and/or experience with client relationship management would be an asset.

Education

The ideal candidate for this entry level position is a recent graduate with a University Degree or College Diploma, preferably in Business Administration/Commerce/Finance/Economics. General Arts/Sciences will be considered with demonstration of experience or strong interest in business.
